RRG And Netmeeting

Hi All,

I'm trying to get netmeeting to run with my G400+RRG (WinMe PC), and when it first loaded, it asked me what driver to use, I chose Matrox VidCap, but then it crashed out, and whenever I try to load up Netmeeting, it just crashes out: 'Conf caused an illegal exception in <unknown>' or something similar.

Any ideas?

PS: PC-VCR and VisionGS (webcam software) work fine.

Little update - windows movie maker doesn't work either - it keeps telling me that 'a valid frame rate for PAL or SECAM video is from 1 to 25'....

Sorry for the late reply...I haven't been around lately, but this may be useful info to others as well.

ME uses WDM whenever it can. Most likely it uses a WDM driver for your video card setup.

NetMeeting was developed before WDM was designed. The core code of NetMeeting hasn't changed much since v2.0 Gold, other than to add features or increase performance.

As a result, my assumption is that NetMeeting doesn't know what to do with your WDM driver and crashes. Should work fine in 98 or W2K, tho'.
