"videotool are coming soon" !!

I got a mail from Matrox Tech Support today... and here is an extract:


"Sehr geehrter Kunde / Dear customer,


we have driver for the g 400 / g 200 but we have no videotool for the marvel
/ rainbow runner g serie
the videotool are coming soon
i have no info about the release date.

Wow! If this is true.....

hm, this could mean anywhere from 1 day to 4 months. I figure give 'em 3 weeks before we start bitching and whining about how they "promised" to have new VT's in "2-3 weeks".

Not that it means a whole bunch, but on Apr. 28, 1999, Matrox released the first Video Tools for Windows NT 4.0. Maybe we can look forward to an anniversary present or something. Just a (nice) thought.

My opinion of Matrox will increase by at least an order of magnitude should they ever actually deliver working windows 2000 drivers and videotools for the G200/G400 Marvels and RR-G cards.
