  • Does the Win2000 hacks *WORK* ?

Ok, now here is the million $ question :

    1) Does the hack for re-enabling MJPEG capture in Win 2000 actually work ? I'm waiting inputs from people that actually *tried* this method and succeeded\failed.

    2) Does this hack enable you to capture TV programs in MJPEG (hardware capturing)?

    3) The avi_o -or whatever it's called - circumvents the Win9x 2/4 GB file limit but when you to encode all parts in MPEG2, is there a "hickup" where the parts are joined ?

    4) Are there actually any drawbacks when using avi_o to get through the filesize limit ?

    Thx in advance.

#1 - seems to work alright with some minor hicups

    #2 - didn't try it

#3 - Avoid joining MPEG files. Instead, use an AVISynth script to serve a set of AVIs to TMPGEnc. Here is the link:

It's a lot easier than it looks (basically, one line in a text file).

    #4 - None really. It's a pretty flexible tool
