YUY2 or RGB 24

Hi there,
I was wondering, which is best in terms of quality : YUY2 or RGB ?

I am planning on capturing in Huffy and then encode to SVCD.

Which feature is better : YUY2 or RGB 24 ?

Any differences between those two ?

The quality should be the same. However, RBG is a bit more CPU intensive than YUY2.

YUY2 is a bit worse than RGB24, but it is only 66% in size of RGB24 (uncompressed) and fast as hell.
If size and speed matters, YUY2 is much better choice.

RGB24 is actually extracted from the YUY2 soruce, which is the input format of most all analog capture cards.

It may not look as contrasty, but that's because it's RAW and hasn't been filtered for display. Capture it using HuffYUV and its filters will sharpen it up in the *.avi's.
