Bad time to Buy G400 Marvel?

Hi, I was looking at upgrading my RRS to a G400 Marvel. I am concerned that it will be replaced with something new in the very near future.
Does anyone have information on any new "replacement" products coming through (that are at Marvel prices??). I want to stay with Matrox cards if possible

Any rumors are fine

Nope, nothing on the rumour front. It seems that there is (at least) a successor to the G400 itself according to information that has already been published on the net. No mention of a Marvel type model though, and since the reported enhancements of the G450 are firmly in the games arena, I can't see that making a Marvel version would make sense.

With the increasing number of non-MJPEG cards arriving on the market, I'm beginning to wonder whether hardware MJPEG is on it's way out - unless someone can radically improve on the current capabilities.

I think that C-Cube has probably driven a nail in the coffin of MJPEG - how long it will take to bury isn't clear
