  • Creating MPEG1 files that work with VCD

I am very confused at how to create an MPEG1 file that will work with VCD.

I have converted a MJPEG avi file to MPEG1 using a data rate of 150kps for video & 224kps for audio at 352x288. I thought this should meet the specification.

I am trying to use my Adaptec Easy CD creator to make a VCD but when I try and add a file it tells me "invalid clock reference".

Is there something I might have missed in Mediastudio (5.0VE)when converting or is it something inherent in the Matrox MJPEG which even after conversion is causing problems?

    Many thanks

    Andrew

    Maybe 1150 instead of 150kbps?
Or 25 fps instead of anything else?
You should use at least the Creator 4.0, the older versions are allmost not able to burn a VCD.
