g400 +w2k: dvdmax won´t install

I´m using windows2k (no service packs, and even if they were installed it woulnd´t help) and millenium g400 and the problem is that matrox dvd player will not install... As I start to install the player installshield goes to 100% but then it lockups. Does anyone know how to install this player?

Did you Dl the latest DVD player from Matrox? If so did you make sure that you are using Dircetx7? I don't use it, but check the release notes.

I would personally suggest buying WinDVD, much, much better.

I am using directx8a but it doesn´t install anyway... and I have powerdvd3, but dvdmax won´t work properly with it.
