  • Capturing with SKY+ using G400 Marvel

Got SKY+ a couple of weeks ago and am using the SVHS output to capture but am getting a thin vertical black bar to the left of the picture (as if the picture had been shifted) in VirtualDub. I can't see this bar on the capture screen of AVI_IO or PCVCR but is very obvious when loaded into VirtualDub. I didn't have this problem with my old DigiBox and RGB-SVHS convertor. Is there an adjustment I can make in AVI_IO to shift the picture back again.

Looking at the picture on varius TVs doesn't show the bar although the picture does look slightly off centre. Pace blame RGB timings and suggest using PAL but the picture looks much worse under PAL. Is there anything I can do? Thanks.

i get that too with ordinary sky digital. a black bar to the left about 5 pixels and 12 on top. i think it is just normal. just crop them off.
