E450 etv - PC/VCR remote vs virtualdub
Hello forum,
I am new user of G450 etv capture card and want to digitize my ultrasound tapes captured from recent range of equipments. The output is composite and PAL video standard.
- Captured a 30 mts sequence from Ultrasound system and recorded using VCR.
- Signal Standard is PAL and used composite BNC connection to record.
- My computer is PIII with 256 MB Ram, 20 GB HDD (UDMA) with Marvel G450 etv.
- Video tools version is 2.02
- The VCR video out is connected to 450’s composite IN.
- Settings used on PC-VCR remote
Video Source - Composite
Video Standard - RGB
Video size 320 X 240 (not sure on this.)
- When I tried capturing video sequence through PC-VCR remote which came along with the g450 etv installation cd, no issues. AVI is created perfectly.
- When I capture through vidcap, avi_IO or from virtualDub the error message popups "Cannot capture Video, Video source is unstable or video standard is not correctly set".
- The video is clearly seen on the screen. No flicker & distortion.
- Tried different video size leads to unsuccessful attempts.
- In the same forum some body suggested macrovision patch. I also tried a macrovision patch for Video Tools 2.02, unsuccessful attempt. The same error popups up.
Is there anybody who have witnessed this problem ?
Is there any SDK provided by matrox for G450tv other then vfw (MS generic version..)
Please let me know the solution regarding this issue.
