  • Can't see my RT2K organic wipes in Premier

    Dear group

I can't see any organic wipes!

I've just installed RT2k (and build new PC)
and everything seems to work fine except the
    RT organic wipes.
The 3 RT2k sections in transition window is
there, but the icons are just black squares
and I can't do anything about them. If I click
left and right mouse buttons a bit it
sometimes displayes "illegal operation" and I
    have to close Premier.
For the last 2days I've done everything
possible (and a few things impossible) to
    open/install? my RT organic wipes!

    Have I done anything wrong?

    TIA

    Eyvind

In Premiere's root folder locate the file Prem50.prf and delete it (or move it to another folder if you're paranoid).

This will force Premiere to re-scan the plugins the next time it starts up. Most of the time this resolves the problem.

      Thanks a million!
      Sounds like a clever solution.
Looking foreward to get home and try it out.
Will give you the result tomorrow, but still
      thank you!

Are you dragging the organic effects folder icon out of the library to the timeline before opening it to select an effect?

Yes, that helped, but new problems turned up :-(

After deleting that weird PRF-file, I could
again see all the Matrox add-ons. But if I was
a bit quick on the mouse button it immediatly
crashed Premiere and I had to use Ctrl+alt+delete
to close Premiere and when restart the add-ons
          were gone. :-(
So again, delete the prf file and open premier again!
I have to wait between 10-30sec everytime I click
a Matrox add-on, and when closing an add-on it
again takes 10-30sec to close and restore under-
          lying windows.
Have heard about a new support file on the Matrox
site that should help some problems. Will get it
and hope my problems are included in the patch.

Besides that: RT2000 is a great board and I'm
          still a happy owner.
