Over here, the market is flooded with $40-$70 CD-RW packages.
As far as I can tell, none of these are HP OEM, some Sony's are at the high end of this range after rebate. HP's number 1 ranking is not likely to be there next year.
I think its smart to quit while you're ahead and move on to something with a hopefully better future.
If HP's DVD burner actually makes disks that play without glitches in the players that are on the store shelves now, I'll buy some more HP stock!
