  • 1G PIII @ 100MHz FSB flip chip for BX???

Posting here 'cause many video editors are sticking with BX. Found this at the AOpen motherboard newsgroup which suggests an alternative has emerged to the Slot One PIII giger/100:

"Actually you can now get P3 1GHz/100 in socket form.

They appeared in the UK a few weeks ago very quietly with no publicity. I bought mine from http://scan.co.uk/products.htm for 128 pounds + tax.

I have mine running happily on my non-recommended lot AX6B. Not bad for a 3 year old BX motherboard!"

Had a look under "CPU." It's there alright. Can't find it at any of the usual Australian hardware sites so I'm getting confused about this claim. Could this be one of the new laptop PIII CPUs? Intel's site is so sales-pitch I can't find any decent info there...
