Recording on PC-VCR problems

I record on 352 x 204 (i think that's the exact number) and on one peg up from middle quality. I was recording a 30 min program yesterday and about 4 minutes of the recording near the end are all fuzzy with mostly the color green and then five min before the end of the video, the problem goes away. So i have this four minute chunk in the middle that is messed up. This is really annoying. Can someone help.

I am on a P3 450, 256 RAM, G400 Max, IBM 7200 RPM 22 GB, it's on dualhead 16 bit color, 1280 x 1024 for both monitors, i have the morgan mjpeg codec installed because it works better than the matrox. thanks for your help

Try bringing down the resolution to 800x600 when you record - that's worked for some people to solve various problems.
