Hello, I seem to be at a loss with Virtual dub as I cannot seem to record without after a few seconds dropping frames. Maybe there are some settings that I need to tweak but having tried most things I have run out of Ideas.
System is a SA6R windows 2k Sp2 Directx 8a video addition
512meg ram 2x40gig raid video drive ntfs striped for speed 80gigs total.
Using matrox g450etv It records without dropping frames on matrox software and If I try using AVI_IO that may drop 1 frame in 1 hour. but with virtual dub It will drop 5 frames in 20 seconds the more and more untill all frames are being dropped.
I use Picvideo mjpeg codec for my files
to summerise AVI_IO seems happy but Virtual dub does not like my setup at all.
