  • 1394 card and premiere, what works?

Digital Origin IntroDV fro OHCI will allow you to capture video from any cheap 1394 card and edit QuickTime-format DV in Premiere.

Also, you can try to "enable" their MotoDV to work with OHCI card with an update provided on their site.

Or, try Ulead MediaStudio Pro 6 - it has full support for OHCI cards.

Some other options may be available.

1394 card and premiere, what works?

Direct show video and the microsoft DV codec I gather are not supported by premiere. What cheap cards work with premiere? Is there a program that will alow me to capture with a cheap card (pyro or pinnacle dv studio then convert to a premiere acceptable format, without quality loss? Why is premiere so far behind the times and so dam slow to make life nice for its users. If it wasn't an industry standard with 4 million plug-ins and tutorial books I would bury it! It still doesn't fully support RR after how many years?
