Oh well, I kinda expected it.
Weird that navigation, FF/REV work as expected, but obnoxious glitches on playback. Same mpeg2 file "authored" to DVD-R with A03 bundled MyDVD plays glitch free but has FF/REV problems.
Interesting that the MyDVD bundled with the HP DVD100i seems to encode at a good clip. I'll produce a DVD+RW from DV files and see if it plays before returning the thing. I wonder about the quality of the encoding, it seems faster than MSP6.5 File->Create.
At least with the HP I'm not wasting $6 a pop.
While using DVD Factory Trial I had a list of times for the chapter points from my MSP6.5 project, as I went thru the file I noticed my times and the DVD Factory were diverging for the starting frames well beyond the "jitter" of Needing an I-fram for a chapter point. Error was ~6 sec near the end of a ~2hr mpeg2 (4000VBR)
perhaps there is a clue here as to why the Ulead authored disks glitch on most players.
