Which o/s for G450/WinTV FM setup?

Can anyone recommend which o/s for a system I'm having built, with a G450 & Hauppuage WinTV FM PCI TV card.

Was thinking either Win98 or Win2k...not sure if I should touch XP...just yet!

I wanna use it for TV capture & basic capture/editing from my Hi-8 camcorder.

System Config:
P4 1.5 Ghz
512mb RAM
2 x 40gb Maxtor 7200 rpm

WinTV & XP

The WDM drivers for the WinTV PCI cards are still pretty immature. Best bet would be Win2K using the VFW drivers for the WinTV.

I've got the same Hauppage card and it's best to use the card under Win2k. I find the Win2K driver more stable than the Win98 driver.
