  • DVDMax TV output on Matrox Marvel G400Tv blends the fields

    Has anyone encountered this problem? Anything I playback, the video displayed on TV (with the DVDMax option) has its fields blended! I know that because: a) the motion is not as smooth as it is with interlaced footage, and b) when I pause the video, while I see the "feathering" (interlace artifacts) on the computer screen, the TV image is of two blended pictures. When I had an older TV out card (a Brooktree-type), pausing the playback of interlaced video showed the expected flickering of two images. Does anyone know how to solve this? Thanks.

    Okay, I'm not at my home computer so I can't remember all the details but this happens if the bottom option of the three boxes is clicked. The three boxes being in the DVDMax window. I think its 'field based scaling'?

    Sorry for being vague!

      Field Based Scaling is indeed the option that should be active with using DVDMAX. It's at;

      Display Properties/Settings/Advanced/DualHead/DVDMAX Options

      at the bottom of the page.
