Apple's "Real Time" Final Cut Pro 3.0

Apple has just announced "real time" previews are possible in the brand new Final Cut Pro 3.0 without the need for any PCI hardware cards such as the RTMac.

Just as Terry, myself and others have been saying, this is more evidence of the new *wave* in the NLE industry that will feature more and more software-only real time features.

The next Ulead MediaStudio Pro 7.0 will be another example of that.

Yup, software realtime is here and it's just going to be more and more powerful as we see 64 bit multi-Ghz systems & PCI/66 busses come to the mass market in Q3 next year.
