It is important that any owner of the RT2K not kid themselves. This is a wonderful system. But, it can tax your patience if you choose to ignore the recommendations of Matrox. There are very good points posted by Perti and Dr. Mordrid. I convinced my employer to buy a turn-key system. It was worth the wait. It has worked right since it came in the door. It was the responsibility of the dealer to provide us with a system that works and works right. They delivered, in spades.
This is by far the best system I have seen in it's class. Matrox outdid themselves on this one. But don't kid yourself, this is not a plug-and-play system.

Most systems in this class aren't. State of the art gadgets do tend to be picky about where they live.

I wouldn't expect a Viper GTS or other such beast to behave like a family car at -20 degrees F either ;-))

That's one reason why Matrox Video division's marketing department are reluctant to even admit that they release the RT2000 to anyone other than dedicated system-builders. This is the reason that they give for not letting either myself or Ant from MURC review the board.

Wouldn't I just love to be able to recommend it tho ?
