  • G450 ETV playback mutes master volume

This is with latest video tools 6 something 11 and SB-live 5.1
Records fine, but on hitting play button on PCVCR it should mute
line in from TV tuner and not the master volume.
Its a real pain toggling between rec & play having to pull
up mixer and un-mute check each cycle.

Haig, will this be fixed on next release?

I have Directx 8.0a and know (and experianced) instability and lipsync issues on MPEG 2 record with 8.1.

    thanks Chris

Unfortunately no as these are marked in our driver grid as being the final set of video tools for all eTV supported OS's.

      Thanks for Reply Haig,
but do you mean that the new card I just bought
is now unsupported forever driver/pctools wise? (win ME)

Surely from other posts I have seen you implied that you
would release new PCVCR to go with
Directx 8.1 to solve the lipsync audio delay issues?
      (at unspecified future time/all clients)

(my premiere 6.01 demands this 8.1, hence
      I now have incompatible system.)

Does this mean that to use 450etv & premiere 6.01 I have to
change OS to win2000 or XP?

BTW I rendered out from premiere 6 under directx 8.0a,
went via AVIsynth 0.3 through latest TCMPEG 2.02 (+vpafi update) to mpg
then to a VCD(nero 5.5 with update), and got serious
lipsync sound delay probs.(this works ok 1394 dvcam avis)
      Any Ideas on the cause?

Correct. Unsupported forever as far as driver developement goes but not as far as tech supp goes.

We did release them on Xmas eve up on our web site.

          Haig,

What is your impression on the future of Matrox's line of consumer level video capture cards? Is there a G550-eTV in the works? How about a competitor to the Radeon8500DV?

          Thank you

Here's what I wrote to clients on our forums asking the same question:

Our video division does and allways will release new capture cards for the semi pro and pro market. As far as low end capture cards go, the graphic's division currently have no plans on any new capture cards.

If you take a <a href="http://forum.matrox.com/mgaforum/Forum11/HTML/004830.html">look at this thread</a> on the Matrox TS forums you will see...

<i>"Our video division does and allways will release new capture cards for the semi pro and pro market. As far as low end capture cards go, the graphic's division currently have no plans on any new capture cards."</i>

So it looks like the Matrox Video Products Group will carry doing what they have been doing (a la RT2000, RT2500), but as far as Matrox Graphics goes the Marvel G450 eTV is the end of the line.

What makes you think he wants to see a woman? Did you ever think that he may have an enter sign tatooed on his ass?
