Yeah, but they blew it by stating that scene detection during video capture isn't done.

WRONG....it was right in front of the guys face but he totally missed it

You're right.

Three options are in the Video Capture CAPTURE>ADVANCED>SEAMLESSCAPTURE>OPTIONS dialogue:

1. Always: Select to have a new file created whenever there is a scene change in the video file.

2. At file size limitation: Select to have a new file created when the file size reaches the value entered in the Cut file when file size reaches option or when a scene change occurs when the file size reaches 95% of the value entered in the Cut file size when over option.

3. At first scene after: Select to have a new file created only when the captured video file size exceeds the value entered in the box. Scene changes will be ignored if the file size hasn't reached the specified value. New files will only be created whenever the file size has gone over the specified value in the box and a scene change occurs.
