I'm willing to bet the number of plug-ins for MEDIASTUDIO software is going to double or triple as a result of this within the next year and a half.

Amen to that, Doc! If I knew C++ and MFC, I'd be one of the first people to try and hack up a frameserver for MSP.

We can hope. I haven't had time to browse through the code examples in detail yet, but it looks pretty straight forwared at first glance. We'll see.

If any of you coders see anything missing in any of the modules let me know and I'll check with Ulead about it.

I question this with Edwin van Eggelen and he tells me his "working on it..."

            hehehehe...I sent him one too

Hopefully he'll implement it as a version of his Video Server plugin. This can interface with programs AVISynth cannot by using a pseudo-*.avi file.

No post processing as with AVISynth, but a cleaner interfacing.

            RE-EDIT:

I just used the AVI Video Server from Premiere to TMPGEnc 2.51. Works GREAT and you don't have to use a text file like with AVISynth as the plugin itself generates the script. NICE.....

There are also plugins for the plugin (!) for various things like telecine, BBMPEG etc.

You can also use the AVI Video Server plugin to frameserve the Ulead DVD MovieFactory, WM8, CinemaCraft, NERO's MPEG-2 plugin, LsX and a ton of other other encoders.

If he suceeds in getting this ported to MSPro we're gonna have fun....
