Duplicate frames captured with RR-G and AVI_IO

I'm using AVI_IO to capture from a Rainbow Runner G-Series at 400x300, 24 bits, 30 fps. If I capture audio, the captured video is jumpy. Under close examination, it's duplicating a frame and then skipping the next one. AVI_IO doesn't report any drops. I talked to Markus and he determined the driver was sending the bogus frames. Matrox has been absolutely no help and says they can't support me if I don't use their default resolutions. I don't have this problem if I don't capture audio. My sound card is a Sound Blaster AWE 64 gold ISA in the olny ISA slot. I'm using the latest versions of all the drivers. My hard disk benchmarks more than 1MB/sec faster than the video data rate. Any ideas?
