I am trying to record my old VCR (PAL) tapes to transform them in SVCD. I am able to record avi files, but I cannot record in MPEG1 or 2. I have downloaded the last and the "one before the last" drivers from Matrox, but still I cannot record.
Ulead Studio 6.5 can't find the capture device and I do not know how to load the MCI device driver... suggestions??
    Thanks Paolo

OPen up the Ulead VidCapture program and select capture device. Select the ulead vfw capture option. Restart the capture program. It takes a pretty fast CPU to do realtime MPEG1 or 2 capture and the quality is not as god as if you captured to MJPEG, edit and then use an external decoder like TMPGEnc or other.

ok, thanks for the answer, but it doesn't work.
Switching to the ulead vfw capture, one time I get miss initialization, and another memory video buffer full
In the device control I have no option, just a blank field.
It's like I am missing something in the software....
Do you know what is the MCI device control that Supports Video Disc & VCR?
      Thanks again Paolo
