A friend of mine purchased a P4 1.8GHz machine with a single (WD) HD, 512 MB of RDRAM, WindowsXP Pro, an SBLive! and an ATi Radeon. He wants to do video capture/editing. He has a DV cam. What hardware / software do you recommend that he obtain in order to do so? I'm thinking a firewire card and MSP 6.5 and the other stuff (TMPEGenc, Virtualdub ...) Thanks for your suggestions
