    I did something really strange!!

    In a previous post: http://forums.murc.ws/showthread.php?s=&threadid=31387
I explained my situation: I got a new G400MAX and hooked it up with my RRG. I am using the Video Tools for the G450TV and the BETA XP drivers for the display. I only use the RRG for the TV tuner, none of the other stuff. Anyway, I was able to drag the TV image in a window across the first monitor to the second, without any problems!! So now I can watch the TV in a window on both displays!! I have heard since your card does not support dual overlays, that this should not be possible!! So what gives??

Now another issue, whenever I close the TV tuner (via remote), and then try and turn it back on, I get the error message that there are not enough resources to turn the TV on. So I have to reboot, and then the TV tuner works!! So what should I do???

Just to clarify the message above:

The error message stated after PC-VCR is turned off, and then restarted:
"Matrox video hardware is currently unavailable. Other software may be using this hardware or there may not be enough graphics memory available.

To use this hardware with this software, try this: (1) Close any other program that may be using it (for example, video capture, playback or editing programs). (2) Lower your display resolution and/or color palette (a 16-bit color palette is recommended)."

Basically if I run PC-VCR, close it, then run it again, I get the above error message. Then after I reboot the machine, I can it run it again, once, and then receive this message again!!!

    Please help!

      1)
Matrox has stated they do not support this configuration.
Haig cannot help you, or he would be going against company policy.
He sends users from his forums here for these kind of questions because he can't answer them.

      2)
This is really a thread for the Desktop Video Forum.
All the experienced RR-G/Marvel users post over there.

So, this thread is relocated to DTV...

i have heard the g400 chip supported dual overlays, but that the g450 didn´t.
i have also heard that support for dual overlays was removed from the g400 drivers, when the g450 was released, because matrox wouldn´t support dual overlays anymore.

perhaps your beta drivers support dual overlays on the g400.

this is based enetirely on rumors and i have absolutely no idea, what i am talking about, since i havn´t the slightest experience in desktop video.
This sig is a shameless atempt to make my post look bigger.
