PC-VCR Application?

Hello!

Is there an application to view tv and record the programme on disk, which is "nicer" and easier to manouver in than the matrox-own PC-VCR? Except that my Matrox-application does not record correctly (audio is jumping and video is 29.xxx fps instead of 25, and as a result the audio is not in sync with the video) I don't like the look-and-feel of it.

Any Users who have tried good alternatives? They do not have to come free, I'm willing to pay for a good program, although freeware would be nice.

A straight capture program is different than a TV viewer.

For on-the-money frame rates and A/V synch in captures you can't beat AVI_IO. It also lets you set the capture compression so you can use things like DivX, PICVideo MJPeg, Morgan MJPeg etc.

AVI_IO is a great capture program.
However the ability to re-resize the PC_VCR window is nice.
You can have both on board.
