how do you sustain the output to line with rainbow runner

When editing with my rainbow runner, there is a slight pause, before the image output appears on my monitor. And when I leave it for 3-5 secs. the output disconnects.

Is there any way to force the rainbow runner to sustain the output to line function, as this would speed my editing up???

I can only assume that there are others out there wondering about this.

Are we talking about the Rainbow Runner Studio or the Rainbow Runner-G for the G200/400 cards? The solutions are different.

For the RRS using VT-2.1x you have to edit the registry without PC-VCR running. Go to START\Run, type RegEdit and browse to the following location;

hkey_local_machine\software\matrox\vidpres\ general\

in the right panel you should see "Enable Output". Change the value from 0 to 1.

Right above "Enable Output" there may be another selection named "Dual Field". You can optionally change this from 0 to 1.

Close Regedit and the changes will be saved. The RRS should now output to the TV full time.
