Two graphics into one PC won't go?

I am building a new PC and to reduce costs I am attempting to re-use as many components as possible from my old PC. I have a Matrox G200 Marvel AGP card which serves me well for analogue video capture, which is all I really need for the home movie projects I mainly do. Obviously the G200 has fallen behind somewhat in the pixel pushing arena and I am looking for a video card to take over that responsability whilst co-habiting with the G200.

So in summary:

Is this possible, without dual booting/cable swapping/card yanking/driver juggling?

You shouldn't have any real problems I've run pretty much the same setup. What you will need to remember is that the Marvel must be the primary card in your system if you want to use the video side of things. This means you must set AGP to be your primary graphics device in the motherboard BIOS.

Wouldn't that necessitate the monitor cable being swapped from the Nvidia (for example) based graphics card to the G200?

This would be a dual monitor setup, have your best monitor hooked up to your new card and a second hooked up to the G200 then you have everything under one roof.
