*Probelms* Installing the Win2k Vtools v.2.04.015 on windows2k Pro.

Hi

I'm trying to install the latest VTools 2.04.015 which i downloaded from matrox's webpage. After i choose my language (english) i hit Next and then i get the following message.

" InstallWizard Completed"

"The Wizard was interupted before Matrox VideoTools could completely install. You system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time please run this program later"

Okay, first off. I didnt stop it or interupt the installation process. Also i tryed doing what it says and run setup at a later time and i still got that msg. I tryed installing it in "SafeMode" and it stoped still.


"My compters specs"

- Win2k Pro with all updates and service pak 2.
- PowerDesk V.6.82.016 for win2k (off matrox site, this runs with no problems)
- P3 750
- Asus Cuvx4-e (with latest bios updates)
- C:\ 8.4 gig Quantem hdd 5400 rpm
- D:\ westerndigital 20gig 5400 rpm hdd
- E:\maxtor 30gig hdd 72oo rpm
- 384 MB of SD-RAM pc-133
- SoundBlaster Live Value 256 v.2
- Creative 52x cd-rom
- Sony Scsi ii Pro 4x8 cd-r burner
- Cable modem NIC card

If you can tell me how i can fix this problem please. It's really important that i get pc-vcr (vtools) working.

I had this error too and nothing what I did could make the program install. I wound up completely re-installing my Windows 2000 and then it worked first time.

You might want to try the inofficial "Wyse installer version" of Videotools that one of the boardmembers made for Windows XP.
