• Anybody with the same problem ?

    Hi All,

    I have a Creative AWE64 with a Matrox Marvel G400-TV.

If I connect both plugs, ie. audio in and audio out from the bob to the sound card I get a sort of feedback sound.

Removing the audio out plug clears the problem.

This will not happen with the SB PCI 128 if the jumpers are set on line.

    Any ideas ?

    Regards,

    Debbie

I remember having a similar problem with the Marvel G200. I don't remember how I cured it, since that was about 1-2 years ago!

However, I remember doing something with the volume control and what is what using for recording sound. Either in the Sound mixer (Creative) or Windows. BTW, is it a fuzz, or just when you playback sounds? If it is only playback of sounds that sound like feedback or reverbed, then you need to mute your line in portion of your mixer. If you hear some fuzz on bootup on, then it is something with the recording selection.

My guess would be when you playback sounds, which then you need to mute the line in. I would start with muting all the devices (creative mixer, make sure there are no yellow dots under the controls) and only enable or dot WAVE, then try playing a sound. If that works, slowly enable other sound channels such as MIDI, CD-rom, etc. See if that helps.
