Best drives for ide RAID?

    IBM were really good, I nearly only have IBM drives installed.
    But it's true that they have (or at least had) a MAJOR issue with quality control since two of my newer IBMs have crashed. The older drives are - like my good old Seagate Barracuda (and an even older Quantum LPS270 ) still working.

    So at this point in time, unfortunately I would strongly disrecommend IBM drives, especially in a RAID setup where the drives have to be rock solid.
    But we named the *dog* Indiana...

      ok...taking Doc's advice and going with the new 80g, 7200rpm maxtors. Found a vendor in my area and they're giving them to me for $139.64 each (including tax, handling, etc).
