I'm new to video editing and have recently gotten a Pyro 1394 board. It came with Ulead VideoStudio so that's what I'm using so far. I haven't loaded MS6.0 VE yet -- should I?
I've been able to capture and render my avi clips ok, but I'm having a problem when I export back to the camcorder. It will record fine for a brief time (anywhere from 30 to 90 seconds), but then the picture freezes and the audio sounds like feedback for about 5 seconds, and then starts recording again. This happens randomly so I don't believe the avi file is the problem -- it plays back on my computer OK. Could it be a driver issue?? I remember some confusion when I loaded the software (Microsoft vs TI) I'm not sure which to use - I think I chose the Microsoft driver.
System: PIII 450; 32MB G400; 128 RAM; Abit BE6 mobo; Quantum 13GB for OS; Quantum 20GB (7200rpm) for video; UDMA66 seems to be functioning properly. Windows 98 SE. Pyro 1394 board; Sony TRV315 NTSC camcorder.
