Ok I made a big mistake, I was running fine with the 'hacked' drivers to allow me to capture under windows xp with the matrox g400tv and avi_io. But in a drunken haze I had brainwave number 1 and decided to update the matrox drivers and vid tools! Anyway, I now get NO audio via the line in, so I had brainwave number 2 and removed the drivers put the old ones back on, no luck. Brainwave number 3, format install from scratch using the drivers I've been using for over 6 months before I had brainwave number 1. Guess what, no luck?
I don't know what the hell is wrong, and before I try anything else I was wondering if anyone else had the same problem in the past? I know of 2 friends who had a similar problem.
I do remember a message appearing when I installed the vid tools (something about the process being in use, try rebooting etc, but that's all I remember).
I'm currently running with the following drivers:-
w2k_572 .exe (5.72.21.0 28/09/2001) (display)
w2kvt204.exe (vidtools version 2.04)
and I've ran the mjpeg hack as well.........
Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks.
Nick.
