Only get the first frame in QT movies. WHY!??!

Has anyone else had this problem. My AVI movies and DIVX movies play fine, the DVD max pumps it out full screen to my television. However, when it comes to QT movies, RM files, and any other non-avi codec. The image just freezes on the first frame of the movie. The movie plays find on the Desktop, but not the TV (dvd-max) anyone have this prob. before?
