  • Cheap 3D software for video animations?

Anyone got a list of 3D image tools they use for creating 3D animations to tag onto their videos, and stills for titling etc?

Its been a while since I used any, the last one was called Asymmetrix 3DFX - nice and simple, but cheap and nasty ...

Uleads Cool 3D 3.0. It's easy to use for the basics, but it can get pretty steep if you want it too...

I know of an excellent 3d animation program. Its called Blender and the basis of it is free. I think it costs about $100US to get the totally vomplete version, but most functions do work on the free version and everything you make (as far as I know) is royalty free.

The best way to learn its interface is to do trutorials or buy the manual. (costs about $100)

YOu can download it and find trutorials at http://www.blender.nl

      Hope this helps!!

        This is a great beginner's tutorial: http://www.zeta.org.au/~sausage/

Here are a lot of tutorials: http://redrival.com/rash/links.htm

I think the manual is only $50US, but with Sausage's tutorial, a list of commands (can be found off of a link on Sausage's Lounge) and those other ones tutorials the manual isn't really needed.
