I'm thinking of buying one of these used and wanted to know what it captures in. Is it only MPEG2 or will it do HuffYUV as well? Also do I still need to capture the audio with my sound card (I get drops because of my evil SB card) or does it do that too? Does anyone still get dropped frames with a RT2000? Thanks.

It will capture in DV format as well as Mpeg-2 and IBP.
The audio and video is captured via the RT2000, however the SB soundcard has it's quirks because it takes up alot of the PCI bandwidth and doesn't leave much for anything else like the RT2000.
The RT2000 captures everything via hardware so as long as your drives are fast enough to sustain dual stream DV or Mpeg-2 you're fine.
Also the CPU speed is crusial if you are planning on buying Propack, I think the minimum requirement is a PIII 700.

Just thought I should clarify that.
1) You *HAVE* to use Premiere to capture analogue when using the RT2000. You can capture DV using another tool that Matrox supply, although I normally use Premiere anyway.
2) You *CANNOT* use Huffy or any standard VFW codec like you can with a G400 or WinTV etc.
