  • macrovision-less DVD output

I've been making video copies of DVDs since i got the g400 max back in december.. but... in black-and white and with annoying curtesy-of-macrovision variations in brightness and saturation (brightness goes up and down, saturation fluctuates too)......

    my question??

would matrox video tools help with this? or
is there any other way to sort it without having to buy a video stabilizer?
    My System:
    K6-2 400 @ 560, FEP 32, FIC VA503+ (VIA MVP3), 128Mb PC100 RAM (CAS3 shite), 6Gig Quantum drive, 10x Pioneer DVD(region free), 3COM 65K Voice winmodem, MX300 (latest vortex2 drivers (inc. EAX support)), Floppy,

    and (wait for it)

    Matrox G400MAX (yay!).......... crap huh?

      hello,

      yes there are software ways...

      go to http://www.digital-digest.com/dvd/downloads/index.html

you will find macrovision free guides, demacrovision tools for HD .vob files and a number of DVD players which you can test, for instance powerDVD and WinDVD gives me a macrovision free output.

        To remove the macrovision
        1) Start the movie
        2) pause it, and open the display options
        3) go to advanced settings -> Monitor settings tab
4)Select 'adjust the current display mode'
        5) select cancel , cancel , cancel
6)Continue the movie, the macrovision should now be gone..
