I just installed w2k on my machine to see how many of the bugs I have encountered are truly due to the w2k BETA drivers.
I was very suprised when I found out that there seems to be even more bugs in the w2k driver.
1. Audio Problem (not shutting off right etc) I guess this is a w2k prob. as in win98, the audio will shut off properly.
2. DiVX playback - In w2k, I will get horizontal bars on the TV output when playing high quality divx videos. In win98 I cant even get it to output Divx video, not even in PC-VCR
3. blurry (shaking) MJPEG video output to TV.
Video output is crystal clear in win98, but in w2k, it seems to be shaking, or blurry. I think it isnt interlacing properly.
4. Audio ouput in apps other than PCVCR. In win2k, I cannot get audio to output to the TV, unless I use PCVCR, or play a MJPEG movie in wmp and open a different movie. This works fine in w98, except with DiVX movies, the audio is the only thing that is outputted.
5. HD bench. In w2k, I usually get ~9mb/s on the drive i use for windows and ~11mb/s on the drive I use for videos. it W98 I only get about ~2MB/s on either video.
6. While capturing with virtualDUB and AVI_IO the computer will freeze up. although, I dont know if this is just windows 98.
