I'm on an Athlon 700 w 256 ram and a G400-TV.
I tried to capture with win98 and win2k with the same results.

When I capture full screen@29,97fps uncompressed, it works fine, no dropped frames.
when I try to compress DiVX, I get dropped frames
I tried YUY2, with the same results.
My HD rate is about 22mb/s
is my CPU too slow?

Are you trying to capture direct to Divx, or are you rendering after capturing MJPEG? If capturing direct to Divx, your cpu is not enough to encode that fast. I don't know of any cpu that will handle that. I have an Athlon 700 with 256 meg and a Maxtor 40 gig drive. When I cap, it's to MJPEG at 704X480, and then I render to MPEG4V2 at 640X480. A 42 min video, takes about eight hours to render with my filter settings.
