After another two days unable to connect to this forum (what percentage of time is available on line????), I finally have managed to get it working again, this time without banner ads, for some reason.

For the first time ever, I've been able to simply whizz from page to page. Long may it last! It has been a pleasure instead of an interminable drudge .

Forums have been up and OK for the last couple of days apart from about 10 minutes on Monday when I was altering a few things. I'm not sure why you find the forums slow they are fine here.

I've removed the banner ads as I'm in dispute with our hosts GA and as they seem to ignore all my emails I figured cutting out their pound of flesh might get their attention. Bad news is they will either be back or we will be without a server

Up to yesterday afternoon (GMT+3), I think I've had time-outing at least 75% of the times I tried accessing this site (often for hours on end), over the past week. Maybe the server bandwidth was insufficient for the demand. Could it be that the banners were blocking everything? Now, everything just whizzes up as it ought.

Sometimes I loose access for perhaps a half hour, but this is rare. Usually it's 5-10 minutes and then it's back. I'm assuming these are when TI is working on the board.

Sorry to disappoint, but T_I doesn't work on the board at all. I've got moderator rights (rarely used), Ant does all the admin and GA provide the server and software.

I haven't noticed any probs this week, I'm usually online thru the UK evenings.

Good plan on the ad front Ant, thumbs up tya matey.

I've experience no problems this week. One thing.. Without the banner ads this thing loads the pagers allot faster.

Well, to me it seems that the banner ads have always been the problem. The as server does not respond and the result is that nothing else on that page is loaded. An added inconvenience with my setup is that this often blocks my Netscape 4.71 completely. I have to close Netscape and kill it separately in task manager to be able to access internet again.

Please, keep the banner ads away, Ant...
