Upgrade options for MediaStudio VE 2.5

I currently own a copy of MediaStudio VE 2.5
( a legacy from an old Mystique/Rainbow Runner card set).
I would now like to upgrade this software to
something a bit more up to date.

Having just recently upgraded my system to
the kit listed below,
I can't now afford the other arm and a leg to purchase the full MediaStudio Pro 6.0 software package.

Does anyone out there know if it is still possible to obtain an upgrade from MS VE 2.5
to MSP 5.2 ( or even MSP 5.0 ) at a more reasonable price.
If so, then who from and at what cost.

At the risk of appearing to talk to myself, l'd just like to add a bit more info':

I have since received an EMail from ULEAD stating that ... "The only upgrades available are to the latest version 6.0" and that ...
"MediaStudio Pro 2.5 VE isn't eligible for an upgrade".

I have since talked to someone in the UK distributership ... BIT (UK) LTD ... who has offered to give me MSP6 at the upgrade price.

Does anyone know what the real position is?

There are some 5.0VE updates on the Ulead FTP site, but I'm not sure if they'll work installed over 2.5VE. You can try 'em if you want;
