  • Sound Out - Gain

Does anyone know of some software that can adjust the soundcards output gain? I am trying to stop an annoying "buzz" that occurs when I am Sending sound out of the computer to watch DVD or my own movies on TV. I am sending audio straight out of the sound card, not through the BOB as so many people, including myself, have had problems with. I am using a Marvel G400.

    Thanks for yor help!

the same problem happens with myself and I think it has something to do with the fact that the sound is amplified a lot by your speakers.. I usually send the audio through cooledit and normalize it to 100% or as high as 200% just so it sounds loud and without buzz

I think on my old computer with a good ol' reliable SB16, it had a line out thats line output could be controlled by something called Creative Mixer. Is there something like this out there which would do the same job?

SB16's had noise problems with channels that weren't connected, were half-connected, etc., because they did analog mixing. Mute everything you're not using at the moment-- especially Microphone and PC Speaker.
