After reading those two articles it sounds like Mpeg4 has done it thing by placing more on $$$$ than the technology and there are better technologies out there that will be cheaperpaulwComment

Those articles are a bit odd in that they both state that MPEG-4 could be surpassed by H.264.
Problem is that H.264 is the ITU spec for MPEG-4 Part 10 and DivX is likewise based on MPEG-4
