  • Clipping edges of video in Premiere

Hi. Is there a filter in Premiere to clip some lines off the edges of a video without sizing it back up or adding a blank region around the video, before it is sized to the ouput resolution? The clipping function in the export settings dialog does the clipping after the video is resized to the target resolution and then sizes it up to account for the clipped lines. Thanks.

there is a crop plugin that works quite nicely without changing the finished video size

Are you referring to the crop filter included with Premiere? It appears to be resizing the frames, or is that just an illusion created by the preview window in the filter settings dialog?
