Listed <a href="http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q241/4/22.ASP">here</a> are all the command line options for Mplayer2. "/close" will exit when finished. You can only force a particular Media Player view when using the embedded control (like on a webpage or otherwise hosted by another program).
Adding some code to autorun could allow it to run another program when Media Player exits.... but considering we just got some new video equipment in, I'm not gonna be bored for awhile . Besides that, I'm headin' to Colorado for a week. If I find some free time tomorrow, I'll consider adding another switch.
