  • G400 Marvel - no sound?

    Hi!

I don't get any sound on my TV when using TV-out?

I've connected the soundcard (AND the G400) to the blue box, and I've connected the blue box to my TV using S-Video cable.

But I get no sound at all?

The S-Video cable only carries the video. You will have to wire from the BOB to your TV seperately.

I personally would recommend going straight to your TV from the sound card and not via the BOB.

Well, I've tried to connect my TV to the BOB with 2 phono-cables - no sound either?

Do I have to turn on the sound somehow?

Connecting via the BOB can be problematic as not all programs activate the audio out on the BOB. Basically unless you are using PC-VCR you're generally stuffed. Have you tried connecting straigh to the sound card?

What are you playing and with what software?

        Rob.

By-pass the BOB audio, as I did for 3 years ago.
The BOB audio even breaks, randomly, the video sync in my BOB. Since the by-pass, no audio problems.
More: your audio output will be much louder via the by-pass (directly from your audio card).

Thanks for your replies - I'll just bypass the BOB...

...and check if your audio card is set to Line output and the audio cable is attached to the right output from the audio card to your TV.
E.g. I usually listen headphones and when I will output to TV I need to switch the audio card output to right line (I mean switch in the audio controll panel)
