Hi to all
Urgent help wanted - Matrox Marvel G400 TV is conviced that its owner does not know what he is doing!
Because of hassles with frame jitters on my Marvel G400-TV while using the Matrox Mjpeg codec, I am currently forced to convert the captured avi files to Morgan (1.5) before I can output any non-jittery material from MSP6 or anywhere else for that matter) - Time required for a 90 minute project conversion is 3 hours using 704x576 @25 frames per second!
So in order to cut down on the conversion time, I have tried Uwes' system.ini mod suggested on this forum to force Morgan to decode all files with the dmb1 fourcc code in its header (captured using Matrox codec). Now, W2000 uses the registry for these settings and I have been successful in hacking the registry and actually getting Morgan to decode those files capture with Matrox and therefore I do not have to convert at all!
All very nice you say!. Only problem is my Marvel now thinks I am bonkers to try and output the contents of those files, and simply refuses to do so - ie - no output from my BOB!
From the above,it would seem that the only workable sollution till new drivers for W2000 come along, would be to modify the headers of Matrox captured avi files to replace the dmb1(Matrox)-tag with the mjpg(Morgan)-tag and thereby convince Marvel that I know what it is I am trying to do!
Can somebody suggest a way to do that without screwing up the avi file as I am currently managing to do?
