Just read over at matroxusers.com that Matrox officially stated that the RR-G won't work with the G450. They have some speculation about the Marvel G450 eTV as well. Just letting everyone know.
The bit in there about software codecs makes a lot of sense.
If one has a PII or CeleronI CPU from 450mhz and up you can do nice 352x240 or 352x480 captures in software.
If, on the other hand, the system has a Duron, Athlon, PIII or CeleronII it's a wide open field for full frame captures because of the SIMD support in these chips. I read an article recently that in such systems software codecs are faster than hardware. Quite a switch.
